Sixth annual Sugar Plum holiday home tour set for Dec. 2

AKRON, OH (Oct. 12, 2007) Six of the area’s finest historic and contemporary homes will open their doors Sun., Dec. 2 for the sixth annual Sugar Plum Tour. Tour-goers will enjoy residences from historic West Hill to Fairlawn Heights, including a Jacobethan Revival-style home on the National Register of Historic Places and a Tudor Revival home said to be designed by Roy Firestone.

Tickets will be available starting Nov. 5 at 10 a.m. at www.sugarplumtour.org or by calling 330-761-6426. General admission tickets are $25 and include a five-home tour. Three levels of patron tickets are available, including a new $75 Early Patron admission, which includes the five-home tour and a noon – 2 p.m. champagne brunch at an exclusive sixth home. Evening Grand Patrons tickets are $100 and include the tour and a 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. cocktail reception. Limited edition Zeber-Martell holiday ornaments will be available for Evening Grand Patrons who reserve at the $150 level.

All proceeds will support the philanthropic efforts of the Gay Community Endowment Fund of Akron Community Foundation.
